Empowerment Women Circle

Empowering migrant women living in Copenhagen through sports.

The Empowerment Women Circle Project, designed and carried out by Empowerment Journey Association in cooperation with the Welcome House. The Welcome House is Copenhagen Municipality’s daily open meeting place for refugees and other Copenhagen citizens and it is connected to the municipality’s accommodation for refugees, Ottiliahus. The core aim of the project is to support migrant women living in Copenhagen to build their confidence and increase their social skills.

Initiative to support the wellbeing of migrant women and their children.

  • EMP Women Circle offers wonderful energy and a focused opportunity for women to identify their limiting beliefs by practicing a variety of exercises.
  • The main elements of group work are community, confidence, and care.
  • The intention is to support women in their journeys as women and break out of isolation and loneliness.
